Job Title: Bodyshop Repairer / Paint Technician
Job Type: Full-Time, 4 day working per week.
Salary: £26,000-£34,000 per annum + bonus up to £4,800
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bodyshop Repairer / Paint Technician to join our automotive repair team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing vehicle bodywork, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Carry out vehicle body repairs to manufacturer standards, including panel beating, dent removal, and replacement of body panels.
Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning as required.
Mix and apply paint using spray guns and other tools, ensuring a smooth and consistent finish.
Match paint colors using computerized paint-matching systems.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
Maintain tools and equipment in clean and functional condition.
Adhere to health and safety regulations in all aspects of the work.
Work collaboratively with other team members to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
Proven experience in vehicle body repair and paint refinishing.
Certification in automotive refinishing (IMI, ATA, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent) is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Knowledge of modern repair methods, materials, and tools.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience with SMART repairs.
Familiarity with water-based paint systems.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Good communication and organizational skills.
