Overview

Job Title: Bodyshop Repairer / Paint Technician
Job Type: Full-Time, 4 day working per week. 

Salary: £26,000-£34,000 per annum + bonus up to £4,800 


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bodyshop Repairer / Paint Technician to join our automotive repair team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing vehicle bodywork, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out vehicle body repairs to manufacturer standards, including panel beating, dent removal, and replacement of body panels.

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning as required.

  • Mix and apply paint using spray guns and other tools, ensuring a smooth and consistent finish.

  • Match paint colors using computerized paint-matching systems.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in clean and functional condition.

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations in all aspects of the work.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in vehicle body repair and paint refinishing.

  • Certification in automotive refinishing (IMI, ATA, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent) is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.

  • Knowledge of modern repair methods, materials, and tools.

  • Valid driver’s license.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with SMART repairs.

  • Familiarity with water-based paint systems.

  • Welding and fabrication skills.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
