Job Title: Used Car Buyer
Location: Charles Hurst Head Office, Belfast

Salary: £35,000 basic plus OTE up to £55,000
Employment Type: Full-time. Permanent 

Charles Hurst is a leading automotive company. This role will be specializing in buying and selling quality pre-owned vehicles. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Used Car Buyer to join our team. This role is essential to sourcing high-quality inventory for our sales operations while providing excellent service to sellers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and appraise used vehicles for purchase based on market trends, condition, and resale value.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, including test drives, to assess mechanical and cosmetic condition.
• Negotiate purchase prices with sellers while ensuring profitability and fair deals for both parties.
• Research market trends and vehicle pricing to stay competitive and informed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with individual sellers, auction houses, and fleet companies.
• Accurately document purchase agreements and vehicle acquisition details.
• Collaborate with sales and inventory teams to ensure seamless integration of purchased vehicles.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in automotive sales, purchasing, or appraisal is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
