Location: Charles Hurst Head Office, Boucher Road 

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 08:45- 17:00

Salary: £23,100- £26,250 per annum (depending on experience)

Charles Hurst has an incredible opening for an ambitious individual, with a passion for organisation, to come and our team as a Purchase Ledger Administrator based out of our fantastic Head Office on Boucher Road. You will be working alongside a team of administrators; a great opportunity to lean and develop within both a dynamic as well as supportive team.


This isn’t your average Administration vacancy; you will report into John Carson (Head Office Accountant) who has worked at Charles Hurst for an abundance of years! John will impart their knowledge and experience allowing you to develop your skills and establish a long career within the Automotive industry. Don’t forget you will also have a supportive team around you to help you along the way! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has an interest in accounts and is ready to reap the rewards of working for Northern Ireland’s premier Automotive retailer.


Our Administrators are fundamental within our Accounting department; without them our essential documentation wouldn’t be processed on time!  It is essential they build strong lasting relations with our internal Management teams as well as external customers and work at pace whilst maintaining accuracy.

  • Maintaining company’s purchase ledger
  • Reconciling supplier accounts to statements and processing payment
  • Ensuring all documents are processed on time, accurately and fully
  • Liaising with internal management and external customers
  • Assisting with closedown of Purchase ledger at month end

The ideal candidate will have a background within an Accounts function and show excellent computer literacy. An individual who has worked within the Motor industry would also be ideal, however not essential. 

You will possess organisational abilities as well as excellent communication; this will enable you to build lasting relationships with customers as well as your fellow team members. Furthermore, you will cope well under pressure meaning you can meet tight deadlines with ease.
